沙克玛·热夏提个展 “缤纷我爱”

“Among the younger generation, Layla Shirin stands out as a luminous presence. Beneath the clear blue skies of Tacheng, her colored wood sculptures caught my eye from afar with their light, effortless form. These works carry a raw, childlike charm—unrestrained and free—while their vibrant colors and patterns echo the decorative spirit of Uyghur craftsmanship. In a team brimming with masculine energy, Layla Shirin’s presence is like a crescent spring in the heart of the desert—a rare and refreshing oasis of artistry.”

--Tang Yao, Chairman of the Public Art Committee of China

Layla Shirin’s Biydar is a delicate sequence of pendulums, an extraordinary enlightenment that naturally rekindles our souls. In each of her works, we can almost perceive a force that resonates with our own being, as if our primal essence has been miraculously awakened. The vivid imagery, the diverse forms, the lifelike movements, and the silent yet profound monologues—both introspective and extroverted—create a dialogue that transcends boundaries.

Biydar-for layla shirin’s sculpture

By Ah Renchu

I am neither steel nor glass,
I am merely transparent,
Letting all things pass through me.
I withhold nothing,
I do not barter away sin,
I am neither love
Nor the sun shining from afar.
I am transparent from within,
Like an endless clear sky.

Standing alone in the web,
Silent, lost in thought,
Sleep engulfs my body
Like air filling the sky.
I capture only dreams
And absurdity.

Yet I am not a dream.
I exist outside of dreams,
Leaping from one dream into another,
Drifting in the river’s flow.
What I grasp is only
The wing of a dream,
As if a mere sliver of a dream
Could save humankind.

The wings beat—
I awaken
In the depths of myself.

Yet I am not absurdity.
Look into this mirror—
How does one pass through humanity?

The wings beat, veiling my eyes—
The sky, the earth.
I am transparent from within,
Letting dreams
And humankind
Pass through me.
